Jakarta City Council's Commission E Chairman, Muhammad Thamrin supports the implementation of international movie festival in Jakarta.

He hopes the festival will create movies that acknowledge culture and tourism of Jakarta to the international world.
"I agree with this international movie festival implementation," he said, Wednesday (4/16).
City Council Supports Jakarta to Become a Film CityJakarta Film Festival was initiated by Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno after watching Jumbo movie together with hundreds of orphanage children.
Rano also wanted to invite movie producers in creating the festival as part of making Jakarta as movie city.
"Commission is fully support the plan. We need to discuss further for the support given," he added.
He also stated that Commission E is ready to discuss the making of Jakarta Film Festival together with Jakarta Culture Agency.
"Hopefully various thoughts from Commission E, executive and Vice Governor can be united for the sake of resulting best movie quality that brings Jakarta's name to international stage," he stated.
